If you've already used Google Classroom, or Google Docs for your lesson there are a number of other tools and apps that you can also use to streamline your workflow as an educator. Below are some additional resources on these topics to explore.

Tips:

  • Start at the beginning of the school year if possible to build classroom norms.

  • If you're starting to use these strategies in the middle of the school year, start small and integrate one new thing at a time. It takes a while for you (and your students) to get used to using new systems.

  • Create a test class to try things out before presenting to students.

  • You don’t need a Google Classroom to use many of these resources, but it can make it easier for you and your students to keep track of what has been assigned and graded.

  • Ask around at your school to see if anyone else uses Google Classroom or any of these applications. They can be a great resource or you could learn together.

  • If you are already an expert, consider sharing what you learned with the rest of your school at a lunch and learn or a mini-PD session.
